Often people ask me if elkarina is my name... none could possibly imagine the story behind The Karina, a craft sunken in 1981 by a Colombian Navy ship on the Pacific Ocean. It was loaded with weapons that should have reached the M-19 guerrilla group.
This dramatic story is told in a book by author / journalist and neighbor Germán Castro Caycedo, an incredible adventure which starts in Germany going trough the north African coast, Panama, the Guajira desert and the wild amazonian forest. Its a document made out of testimonials of its own protagonist; guerrilla fighters, warlords, trafiquers, military officers and citizens who lived and took part in this amazing time in history...someday i hope to make a film about it.
KARINA CORREA
Director
I'm a creative director working in a wide range of projects including award winning shorts, animation, music videos and documentaries.
I've been fortunate in the fashion world building a strong parallel career in design for sports apparel.
credits include:
Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Fila Sport, Ecko Red, Candie's, Vans and Hurley.
My favorite hobby is performing live visuals and making video installations.
I love collaborating with artists I admire.
I believe the key to creating successful projects whether is launching a brand, making a film, a music video, a tv spot or a fashion line wouldn't be possible with out a talented ensemble. Here are the usual suspects in my team.
PETRIT PULA

After graduating with a BBA degree, he decided to work in the arts. His passion for music has led him to become the label boss and A&R at Nublu Records, one of the most vibrant independent record labels in New York. Apart from his work there, he is the co-founder and curator of Brasil Summerfest a new week-long festival that presents a series of events at high profile New York City venues showcasing the new and exciting music of Brasil. Petrit produced our first feature documentary Train of Freedom.

Frank is the founder of Ojodepez Magazine (Spain) dedicated to documentary photography that wouldn't be considered within the conventional media outlets. In 2009 Frank co-founded the art gallery Invaliden1 (Berlin) and he is responsible for the creation of the first pan-Asiatic photography magazine Punctum, he also heads the annual Ojodepez Photo Meeting Barcelona, a must go-see event for professionals and photo-ducu lovers.
